Antimony oxide Sb2O3 is one of the main active components of Naples Yellow.

Incorporated, at a rate of 3 to 5% in a lead frit with the addition of nickel oxide, titanium and tin, will develop a yellow glaze.

Its most widespread use is as an opacifier for iron-based coatings.

Introduced in ceramic tiles containing lead, it is used as an opacifier although it is not common.

Under certain conditions, it is used in the manufacture of bricks to color the earths that compose them.
