Solargil glass mosaics are manufactured in a traditional way.

The glass is colored by metallic oxides.

It is then poached with a ladle at 1200°C and poured into a rolling mill, a kind of waffle iron.

The glass paste will take its shape around 900°C when it cools.

The tesserae separate naturally from each other.

Thanks to this traditional manufacturing process, Solargil glass mosaics are recognizable by their mineral aspect and the irregularity of the surface.
